MCA Kids Serving Opportunities
Greeters. The first people you see when entering MCA Kids are our greeters at the door. These people should be outgoing and full of personality. While we can’t give hugs or high fives right now, we can use fun hats, outfits, and smiles to make a first impression and lets kids and families know where to go.
Greeters serve 1-2 times a month.
Check-in Desk. Volunteers at check-in can make the drop-off experience smooth and reassuring for anxious kids and families. A simple but important question to ask yourself is, can you offer a smile. For many families, it can be a struggle to get out the door. That’s why check-in volunteers should smile at families and let them know they are welcome as they are and let them know the safety protocols we have in place.
Check in Desk leaders to serve 1-2 times a month.
Small Group leaders. We want these volunteers to be relational and caring, able to get eye to eye with our kids and talk to them about their dog, new sparkly shoes, and the Bible! Are you willing to go the extra mile to care for kids outside of church with a postcard or attending a birthday party in the future? then a small group leader is a fit for you.
Small group leaders to serve 1-2 times a month. Weekly is the ideal.
Large Group leaders. These volunteers communicate God’s Word, lead worship, host or lead large group activities in the main teaching portion of our morning. We want these people to be engaging and energetic to make children get excited about coming to church and dig into the bible in a real way.
Large group leaders to serve 1 time a month.
Behind the Scenes Team. These volunteers serve our ministry through their passions of organization, photocopying and cutting materials, writing and editing curriculum, shopping or prepping supplies, posting on social media and web platforms, and readying the spaces. They may or may not be on site during the program but provide relief to those who are hands on with the kiddos in a variety of ways! If you like Media, graphics, and sound operation then this is for you too!
Behind the scenes team serve 1 time a week or 1x a month depending on area.
